The Path of Desires

In the novel “The Road of Wishes,” Masha Traub creates an atmosphere of harmony of time and space in a derelict house that becomes a sanctuary for a young woman and her son. Neighbors—lonely women—decide to unravel the secret that brought the heroine to this house. Their care and genuine concern, as well as the kindness of other characters, lead to a happy ending, giving hope and faith in love. The novel shows that in difficult times, participation and care can be found in unexpected places—and how love and loyalty can overcome any obstacles.
