Three in the Bushes, Not Counting the Dog

Russian language teacher Aglaia Sinichkina learns that her boyfriend is a questionable type— a cheater—because of whom debt collectors are laying siege to her. And the best thing she can think of is to go to her aunt’s in the village of Bukhalovo for the summer holidays. But when she arrives, Aglaia doesn’t just find that she’s not safe—she ends up right in the epicenter of ridiculous events. The body of the suspicious man she discovers on the second day of rest in a raspberry thicket doesn’t look like an “unexpected surprise” at all. In the village, a dangerous but attractive man appears, along with a pair of bandits; and on top of that, the villagers are set on edge by stories about a treasure buried by the river. And everyone has questions for poor Aglaia.

Fortunately, Glasha in the village gains a friend—energetic saleswoman Kristina. She also meets a childhood friend there—a big strong guy Shuryayka. Together, they can do a lot: find a corpse, lose treasures, and pocket the thieves’ cache. And also solve a case that even seasoned villains couldn’t handle.
