“Three Comrades? What the Ballet Keeps Silent About” — a play-novella about a conversation among three ballet artists who have reached retirement age without achieving any great heights. They dance in the country’s leading theater, but their hopes were completely different. Why did it happen that way? Who is to blame for the fact that people don’t dare to change their lives? And what role in each hero’s fate was played by the successful and acclaimed dancer Kristina, who, deep in longing, is waiting for a mysterious premiere? The destinies of the main characters are sums of many real stories of dancers told to Alexander Tsypkin by the well-known choreographer and Marinsky Theatre soloist Yuri Smyekalov. Based on the text of the play, a unique ballet performance was staged at the Theater Priyut Komedianta, combining dramatic art and dance.
