At one time, Sigmund Freud’s idea about how sexual instinct influences the psyche and the development of human society had the effect of a bomb going off. The theory of the unconscious, which affects all our actions and deeds, and of sexual attraction as the main driving force of both an individual and society as a whole, is still the subject of debate in the scientific community. However, it is impossible to deny that Freud’s teachings on psychoanalysis made an invaluable contribution to the development of world psychology as a whole.
