The Thin Line of Calm

May 1942. In Ukraine occupied by the Nazis, the NKVD plans a unique operation. Posing as an Abwehr officer looking for a test site in the occupied territory for new military equipment, an agent with valuable documents must approach Soviet intelligence. A special group led by Major Maxim Shelestov moves to the designated area for the meeting. But neither the group’s fighters nor the NKVD operations staff know that the German intelligence is closely watching the agent’s actions. Up to the last moment, everything goes according to plan. The terrible denouement comes when the operation seems to have been successfully completed…
