Extremum is a giant city where you can rise to the highest peak—or fall into the dark, gloomy depths. It all depends solely on each person’s personal choice.
The android Rett Caleston manages to survive the “purge,” and then joins a group of rebels led by the mysterious revolutionary Virgil, who owns a spaceship called “Aphelion.” The android has no memories and no knowledge about himself. But indirect clues suggest that Rett isn’t a simple serial model—he’s a one-off custom-built specimen.
After training aboard “Aphelion,” Virgil appoints Rett as his agent in Extremum, where he must become a hacker and obtain secret information. Rett intends to use this opportunity for his own purposes: to find out who he is and who created him.
No matter what, the android strives to uncover the truth—but even more important is this: can he bear the burden of that truth and pay the required price?
