«Quiet Days in Mixing Part» is a conceptually structured work that’s light in content—by the cult writer Erlend Loe. An unusual, airy text by a minimalist philosopher.
Bruru Teleman is 42 years old. He is Nina Teleman’s husband, the father of Heidi, Berthold, and Sabine, and the head of the editorial/creative staff at the National Theatre. Right now he’s resting with his family at the foot of the Alps, south of Munich. While his wife and children play in the setting sun with the locals, Teleman prefers to spend his time thinking about theater... except when his thoughts wander again.
Teleman is obsessed with writing the perfect play—one that will show everyone what real theater is. But as the story unfolds, his life itself becomes theatrical. The terse phrases of the text resemble stage lines. And with delicate everyday touches, the theater of the absurd is born.
