“Losing Our Streets” is a layered, fast-paced story in which the hero goes through an unsafe quest across vivid locations. Its lyrical hero is a punk and an anarchist who grows up in the best traditions of the ideals of his subculture idols: street fights in Alma-Ata in the 1980s; rock ’n’ roll and heavy addictions in Moscow in the 1990s, Europe in the 2000s, and everywhere else; physical, emotional, and geographic wandering. All of this is to come to oneself for real and see the light at the very moment when the final credits are about to roll in the retrospective of your life.
