My book is a confession turned into a sermon. My name is Alina, and my mother has paranoid schizophrenia. I have a lot of traumatic experience that I’m ready to share with the world. And I believe that someday these lines will heal and inspire. I’ve gone through a difficult path to understand, to nurture, and to separate. And if what has been nurtured isn’t given away, it will burn from the inside.
This book is for everyone who needs help and psychological support—for those who were forced to grow up much earlier than they were ready to. Here I share my views on how and which beliefs can trigger neurotic states; about the attitudes that make life harder. I talk about how important it is to work through your traumas. I show the consequences of keeping things silent: psychосomatics, somatics, mental disorders and their severe forms. Feelings won’t kill you, but suppressing them—might. All my book is about that.
