Sixteen-year-old Anya Bystrova moves to an unfamiliar city, full of hope that her dream of becoming a star of a dance show will come true. However, joining a popular group, she faces hostility and envy from the local dancers who aren’t happy about a new rival. Competition with the soloist Lera and the attention of a desirable partner, Mark, only makes things worse for her. Among all the difficulties, Anya finds real friendship, which helps her understand that the real value isn’t popularity, but true friends. But when she finally gets a chance to perform in the contest together with the best team and win, Anya is faced with a difficult choice: follow her dream or stay close to the people who have become dear to her.
