The Secret of the Snowy Forest

Winter was coming, and the animals decided to organize a surprise for the Woodpecker’s birthday. What could be a better gift than doing something pleasant for a friend? Their new buddy, the Raven, agreed too. The celebration went wonderfully, and the birthday boy was pleased. Soon the forest was covered in heavy snow, and it made all the inhabitants happy. However, in April, the snow still doesn’t melt. What happened? What did the friends forget, swept up in their snowball game and everyday chores?
