Mysterious Sculptures, or... Earth as a Thoroughfare

The events of the book take place in modern times in Moscow. A young woman, Ekaterina (Katherine, in the English style), whose career has developed successfully, is rather tired of bachelor life and wants to get married.

However, it turns out that finding a good husband isn’t that simple. And only thanks to her inexhaustible imagination does she not fall into despair, even when the feeling of loneliness literally takes hold of her, and her search for a fiancé becomes part of interesting adventures that she herself invents. Katherine makes an incredible discovery that draws her to England, to the county of Berkshire, to the estate of a professor who is interested in her research. There she also finds new, not entirely ordinary friends who help her better understand herself and return to the eternal human questions: “Who am I? What am I doing on this Earth, and where should I go next?” Trying to answer these questions and to know her essence, she visits Easter Island, where she becomes the object of a treacherous plan by the keeper of the Earth’s secrets…
