Crime columnist for the Press Center of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs for the Moscow Region, Ekaterina Petrovskaia, together with Colonel Gushchin, becomes involved in investigating a brutal massacre of the family of the famous writer Klavdiya Pervomaiskaia. “The last great children’s classic” was killed the day before her hundredth birthday celebration—along with her daughter and granddaughter—at her dacha in the well-known settlement “Svetly Put” (“The Bright Path”), a place for Russia’s intelligentsia.
