The collection of the Soviet poet E. Asadov includes poems and long poems from different years. The author of this book is a front-line veteran, so the military theme is reflected in it above all (a lyrical monologue “To the Motherland”). This edition also includes poems and long poems dedicated to the beauty and richness of the native land, love for Russian nature. The book ends with the lyrical novella “Galina.” It is a full-hearted and passionately dramatic story about a person’s place under the sun, about a great and difficult love, and about the responsibility of adults for the fates of children.
