Two years ago, I published a book titled “The Strange House,” in which I described a documentary investigation carried out together with my friend, the architect Kurihara. The book became an unexpected hit, and soon I began receiving messages about other unusual houses.
It turned out that all over Japan there are houses with bizarre features: corridors that lead nowhere, secret rooms with hidden mechanisms, and windowless rooms. I collected eleven stories, each one devoted to such a mysterious house, and together with Kurihara we began researching them.
At first glance, it may seem that these stories have nothing in common. However, if you study them more carefully, a frightening connection becomes obvious.
Can you find this connection?
