We know astonishingly little about what surrounds us. Mysticism, magic… Did all of it just appear out of nowhere? I doubt it… Something like that existed for our ancestors too—what seemed to them like perfectly ordinary phenomena. Strange, unusual, yes—but real. And with that, somehow, it was possible to interact. In some cases, to fight; and in other places, to cooperate. And to benefit from it. We’ve become more mature—we’ve somehow “progressed” there—but have we become much smarter than our ancestors? Not really… And it’s also not certain that even fully scientific knowledge should simply sweep away those phenomena our ancestors perceived as natural. Not everything has to be discarded at once… Some things are worth thinking about…
