Probably such framing of the question is not without grounds, though in artistic creation something else is more important. In any case, when reading a work, we pay attention first to its plot—if it’s a novel or a story; to the sincerity of feelings and the lyrical mood—if it’s poetry; and to the expressiveness of artistic means, the strength of characters and images—in all cases of sharing in an artistic work—then only afterward do we pay attention to the author’s name.
