A new warm and exciting collection from the author of “Madam,” “Charlie 2.0,” and “Dobrее”!
In the fourth book by Alexander Bessonov, you’ll find a novella made up of stories and letters—“The Senior for the Entrance”—as well as short stories that had previously not been published, but have already won the readers’ love. These texts were heard on stage in performances by Pavel Derevyanko, Maksim Matveyev, and other participants of the literary-theatrical project “Bezprintsypnye chteniya.”
I’ve long been persuaded to write something more substantial than a short story. You’ll probably smirk: “Come on, who ever persuaded you!” But my wife—at least once—definitely asked. And I took it on. About what, as I think, is especially important today.
Three plot lines intertwine in the novella. The first is letters from a girl who, in the spring of 2022, moved to live in another country. The second is the adventures of an upbeat grandmother—the senior for the entrance. The third is the author’s remarks: stories that happened to my family.
Ready? Then let’s go!
