The book collects fragments of landscapes and situations from the author’s personal experience, memories that surfaced out of chaos. The author shares them with readers who may belong to the most different social strata: prisoners, workers, foreigners, strolling girls, soldiers, policemen, revolutionaries. “The Old Man Travels” is the last work of Eduard Limonov, where he uses vivid moments of consciousness to tell about his childhood, life in Paris and New York, as well as recent trips to Italy, France, Spain, Mongolia, Abkhazia, and other countries. The book is presented in the author’s own editorial form, with punctuation that corresponds to modern rules of the Russian language. On the cover is a photo taken in a photo booth for a Schengen visa at the beginning of 2020, with the author’s caption.
