“What’s in the book? I’ve gathered fragments of landscapes, situations that have happened to me lately, memories that surfaced out of chaos—and now I throw them at you, my heirs (and that’s anyone—prisoners, workers, foreigners, strolling girls, soldiers, policemen, revolutionaries). I throw you the results.” — Eduard Limonov
