A lyrical Soviet comedy in two acts, written in 1966, that tells the story of a family conflict between generations, the power of love, and devotion. At the center of the plot is Praskovya Dmitrievna Potapova—a lonely but undaunted woman whose fiancé and brother died in the Great Patriotic War. She devoted her entire life to raising the children of her deceased brother.
