After expensive treatment following the war, Lieutenant Iskra Kapitonova agrees to a dangerous experiment to pay off her debts. As an observer for long-range reconnaissance expeditions, she encounters an enemy sabotage operation. She has three days to save the crew and passengers. Help can be found only at a half-abandoned colony where the mine is still operating. Iskra doesn’t know that an unknown disease has broken out in the mine—something the authorities are hiding. But at the worst possible moment, side effects arise from Iskra’s experimental therapy. It will be a surprise for everyone, but above all for an unknown something that has its own plans for humanity—and for Iskra.
