In 1943, on the eve of the summer campaign, a fifteen-year-old son of one of Stalin’s high-ranking officials shot his classmate dead, and then took his own life. The investigation was led personally by the People’s Commissar for State Security of the USSR, Army General V. N. Merkulov. It turned out that the deceased, a student of an elite school, had organized a secret organization among his classmates using the symbolism of Fascist Germany. In this organization, among other children of top Soviet leaders, were two sons of Anastas Ivanovich Mikoyan, and even the nephew of Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin himself… The military-adventure story “Stalin’yuгенд” (“Stalin’s Jugend”) is written based on reliable facts. With the permission of the heroes of the story who are alive today, the true names of the participants in the events have been preserved.
