In spring 2024, director Adam Cooper’s film “Sleeping Dogs” will be released, based on the novel “The Book of Mirrors” by Eugen Ovidiu Chirovici. The plot centers on Peter Katz, a New York literary agent, who receives a manuscript of Richard Flinn’s autobiography. The manuscript describes mysterious events from the past connected to a crime that was never solved. Peter tries to find the remainder of the manuscript to uncover the truth, but he encounters secrets and riddles from the past. “Sleeping Dogs” is a mysterious novel about the power of imagination that replaces reality—and about the authority of hidden stories, for the preservation of which people are ready to do anything.
