Crime reporter from the press office of the Moscow Region’s Main Directorate of Internal Affairs, Ekaterina Petrovskaia, arrives in the Moscow-suburb scientific town of EREB. In Greek mythology, Erebus is Eternal Darkness.

Son of Chaos and Darkness. Should it be surprising that in this town a series of monstrous crimes is taking place—women are brutally murdered, and their bodies are dressed in carnival fly costumes? Katya joins the complex and dangerous investigation. It is led by the head of the local police department, whose surname—by a strange coincidence—is Alla Mukhina.

And on her very first day, Katya meets the charismatic ex-cosmonaut Konstantin Cheglakov, who paints terrifying images of open space. Exactly in his house Katya encounters the first riddle brought by Erebus, generous with secrets…
