Description
After a car accident, Mark Schluter starts to believe that his sister was replaced by a double. A neurologist, Gerald Weber, who is intrigued by this unusual case, gradually begins to lose his sense of reality. The 27-year-old Mark is in the accident, and his sister Karin is forced to return to their hometown to care for him. When Mark comes out of his coma, he’s convinced that instead of his sister there is now an exact copy—possibly with ill intentions—even though she looks and behaves identically to Karin.

In search of a solution, Karin turns to the famous neurologist Gerald Weber—a star in his field—who comes to investigate the Capgras syndrome, a rare mental disorder. But the situation grows more complicated, and soon Dr. Weber starts doubting his own perceptions. Meanwhile, Mark, with only a strange message left anonymously in his room, tries to unravel what happened that night when the accident occurred—and these discoveries will forever change the lives of everyone involved.
