In ancient times, a race of sorcerers—seers—lived on Earth. For many centuries, their magic kept them hidden from human eyes. Their secret country was called Fuga. But it happened that an ancient curse fell upon them—the Bane, a merciless demon of emptiness. Using the magic science of divination, the seers wove a carpet, into whose patterns they interlaced their magical country. They entrusted the keeping of this carpet to people. Over time, the last guardian of the Woven World died. After her death, the carpet is hunted by Immacolata, a sorceress once exiled by the seers, who longs to destroy it. The only ones who can save the Woven World are the granddaughter of the carpet’s keeper, Susanna, and her friend, Calhoun Muny.
