In the Baskerville Hall estate near the Grimpen Mire, Sir Charles Baskerville dies under mysterious circumstances. They say it’s due to a hereditary curse: because of it, all members of the famous family have been dying for several centuries. Near the lifeless body of Sir Charles, there are prints of enormous paws—apparently belonging to that same spectral dog said, according to legend, to pursue all the Baskervilles. Sherlock Holmes and his steadfast companion, Dr. Watson, must determine whether supernatural forces are truly involved in this incident—or whether the culprit should be sought among people close to Sir Charles.
