Description
Summer of 1961. In a small factory settlement, a girl disappears. Six-year-old Val’ka and her friend Mija go looking for her in the Dog Forest. A detective story with thriller elements, horror, fantasy, social prose, and childhood memories—all of it becomes the foundation for an exciting tale about the unconscious and collective memory.
Alexander Gonorovsky is a writer and screenwriter, a nominee for the “Big Book,” “Golden Globe,” “Nika,” and “Golden Eagle” awards, and the winner of the main prize in the “Horizons” competition program at the Venice Film Festival. He is also a laureate of the national film critics’ award “White Elephant.” The film “Kray” based on Gonorovsky’s script was nominated by Russia for the Oscar.
