This only “careless book,” as Sergey Govorukhin himself called it, was prepared for publication by the director and writer in the autumn of 2011—shortly before his death. He passed away at 50—full of ideas and projects.
“Me and without me”—today these words, it seems, have taken on a very specific new meaning. But just look under the cover of the book, and you’ll feel, as Sergey Govorukhin said: “It’s not all that sad. If you think it through…” And these “jokes with real people” still make you smile and burst into hearty laughter.
