The author herself gives this blurb: “a novel about the deepest secrets of a woman’s heart and the highest secrets of flying skills.” As for the first part—pure truth.
Utopia (and yes, it really is utopia) describes mankind’s life in a distant future, where we happily find echoes of our present. Perhaps this is Pelevin’s most politicized novel to date—politicized in an obvious, even poster-like way.
