The Readers' Bus

Every day Karl Kolhoff, an elderly bookstore clerk, delivers books to customers’ homes. These are special customers—so Karl chooses special books for each of them. He calls every one of his clients by the name of a hero from a book (Hercules, Faust, Effie, and Mr. Darcy) and visits them regularly, taking the very same route each time on his book-walk.

But one day a girl joins him—breaking the ritual and literally bursting into Karl’s life and into the lives of his customers.
