A dictionary is an unreliable narrator. Especially a dictionary infected with mountweasels.
* mountweasel (noun), a fictitious dictionary entry intentionally inserted into a dictionary or encyclopedia in order to protect copyright.
It’s much safer to read novellas.
* novella (noun), a small story, usually about love.
But even they often turn out to be novels...
* novel1 (noun), a narrative work with a complex plot and many characters; a major form of epic prose.
* novel2 (noun), romantic relationships.
Whatever this book pretends to be, don’t believe it at its word. It may turn out that this word doesn’t exist—and you’ll be left with nothing!
