Description

A series of mysterious murders occurs in the Pskov region: several people die, including the second secretary of the city party committee and the local district officer. Major of the militia Pavel Zverev and his assistant Veniamin Kostin begin the investigation. They learn that the victims were friends from the front and sometimes met to go hunting.
