In his autobiographical essay, Orwell openly describes his experience of being educated at St. Cyprian’s School. He tells of the harsh rules and codes of this educational institution that often contradict one another. This experience forever discouraged him from returning to that school, and even years later, just mentioning its name fills him with horror and dread.
