In one of the recent issues of “Modern News,” there appeared quite noteworthy information about how the “woman question” is being discussed in Japan. This country, which only recently seemed unusual and mysterious, now—judging by everything—is finally following the so-called “salvation” European path. Among other things, they are talking more and more about women’s emancipation, equal rights, and similar topics. Polygamy is beginning to be regarded as a deep injustice, and Japanese women are gaining the right to participate in elections and have a civic voice.
