Jacob (1785–1863) and Wilhelm (1786–1859) Grimm were German linguists, founders of German philology, and researchers of folk culture. In 1812, their first collection of fairy tales was published. Over the course of their lives, the collection would be expanded with new stories, endure many editions, and bring the authors fame. All the works included in it are folk fairy tales in the authors’ retelling by the Brothers Grimm.
Altogether, more than 150 fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm are known. We selected the most beloved, interesting, and child-friendly ones from the enormous list of the writers’ tales!
