Description
In 1941, in Munich, two students—Hans Scholl and Alex Schmorell—choose art and literature instead of military training. They become close friends, and Hans often visits Russian evenings at Alex’s home. While the war is intensifying, the young men want to speak out against it, but their actions are dangerous. The risk increases when Hans’s sister, Sophie, moves to Munich. They know that their resistance could become fateful.

The student movement “The White Rose” was created by students of the University of Munich, and although it existed only briefly, the names of its members remained in history. “Tell Alex not to wait” is a documentary novel about young people ready to sacrifice their lives for their ideals—but it is also a story of friendship, love, and hope.
