The Story of Keesh

After the death of Bok, a great bear hunter, his wife and son were left without a provider and lived half-starved. The other men of the tribe were in no hurry to share their game with the widow and her little son. But when Bok’s son Keesh grew up, he began bringing in meat for the whole tribe, dividing each person’s share equally, thereby proving that he was as great a hunter as his father.
