Description

The latest achievements in nanotechnology made it possible to create any materials and products using nano-robot replicators. Imagine self-building buildings, cars that don’t rust—and if they get damaged in any way, they restore themselves. But the process of reproducing nano-robots cannot be controlled. And when this technology was used to create androids with artificial intelligence, it caused panic among people. How will they coexist with humankind—these smart, indestructible beings?

At that time, a space expedition is sent to the planet Venus with the task of building, using nanotechnology, a residential station where future colonists will live. The crew consists of twelve people and four synthetics—androids with artificial intelligence—who obey the Main Computer located on Earth. However, once on Venus, far from their home planet and almost completely dependent on the synthetics, people can’t withstand the moral pressure, and a rebellion breaks out among the crew. Six astronauts are convinced that the Main Computer is trying to seize power over humanity and, for that purpose, is creating on Venus a station that was never meant for people.
