In a Canadian province, a tragedy unfolds: teenagers in a car plunge into a river whose surface “rises” with far too many questions even before the news of the accident takes serious proportions. The authorities assign the investigation to a single CSIS agent—Dashiell Nash. CSIS insists the case be closed, demanding that the agent file it as an unfortunate accident. Soon Nash realizes she’s being deliberately set up and that there’s no way out without consequences—so she decides to continue the investigation in secret. And when Dashiell gets too close to the answer to the main question, she starts to understand that some questions asked too loudly, or rather not quietly enough, can cost her her life… Contains profanity.
