Description
One night in a storm over the Lofoten Islands, near the fishing village of Reine, a landslide comes down from the mountain. A deep chasm opens, revealing what at first looks like old human bones—only very small ones.

In a village boarding house, there is an injured resident from a fire. The fire took away his sight and speech, and he can’t tell anyone that the pain is getting worse—because someone is doing everything possible to make it worse day by day.

“Storm” by Frude Granhus (1965–2017) is a vivid example of Scandinavian noir, where the plot keeps the reader on edge right up to the very last page and doesn’t let you put the book down.
