XXII century BC. Due to a severe drought, many tribes of Mesopotamia and the Land of Reeds (Syria) are forced to leave their lands and set out in search of new ones. Along with everyone, the leader Persaou led his tribe east. A few years later, people found a new homeland in the delta of the Murghab River, which begins in the Paropamisus mountains and disappears into the Black Sands. Many more people arrived in the Murghab delta, led by the chieftain Sharr-Ama. He becomes king in a city-temple built further upstream. Gradually, among the rulers of the subordinate tribes, a revolt brews. The king’s loyal servant, the fire priest Sillumm, finds out about it. The king decides to take advantage of the moment: by exposing the plotters before the people, he will secure the throne for himself as a messenger of the gods…
