A young schoolteacher with a group of children ends up in a post-apocalyptic future. She hasn’t even had time to grow up, and her students—each of them has their own traits. Someone flies in a private plane, and someone stands in line for humanitarian aid; someone changes cars like gloves thanks to wealthy parents, while someone doesn’t even have parents; someone has dyslexia, and someone is without legs.
All of them are amazing individuals, and they’re all quite good at expressing their thoughts and feelings. And also—manipulators and liars—with unique black humor and the ability to retreat into themselves and not come back. The reader will learn the story of each of them in a new novel by Anastasia Streltsova, “Sawdust of Raw Eggs”—and will wonder: can the world be saved, or is it doomed?
