Natalya Kortunova, a well-known lecturer and the author of popular books about art, presents an engaging lecture about Art Nouveau—a mysterious and sensual style that swept through art at the intersection of the 19th and 20th centuries. Art Nouveau—also known as Art Nouveau, Jugendstil, Secession—is a unique, emotionally rich movement that brought together many famous architects, artists, and masters of decorative arts. The most significant figures of this style are considered to be Antonio Gaudí, Gustav Klimt, and Alphonse Mucha, and they continue to inspire constant interest from the general public. Natalya Kortunova’s book focuses on their work, but it also explores how each of these masters developed—from early works to mature masterpieces—within a rapidly changing world of art.
