Shamanism is the oldest form of human knowledge, which, absorbing the best traditions of the preceding totemism, took shape as a philosophical system in the Mesolithic period (9โ12 thousand years ago). This knowledge is a human universal heritage, since practically all peoples of the Earth have followed this path or continue to do so to this day. According to modern ideas, shamanism never assumed belief in any specific deity; instead, it was based on internal experiences during an ecstatic experiment.
