Yet Dail believes he is destined to rewrite the Birth Card, and one day he’ll be able to take a pilot’s place and rise into the sky with a dragon. Fate gives him a chance—an opportunity from a free-range headhunter, Chris Kortatous, who offers to help him with a job and then takes him on as a student. Dail will experience plenty of adventures before he can truly befriend a dragon and rise to the sky.
Meanwhile, dark times are closing in on Darigar—in which “sky-stepped” Dail will become the hero about whom legends are made…
