In the novellas “Family Happiness” and “Beloved Street” by F. Vigdorova, the everyday life of Sasha Moskvina’s family is portrayed. We meet the heroine at the beginning of her life, when she finishes school. We part with her almost twenty years later at her daughter’s graduation party. In those twenty years, Sasha experienced both much happiness and no little sorrow. Together with the whole country, her family survived the war… Through Sasha’s perspective as she works in a hospital and the newspaper employee Dmitry Polivanov, the writer shows complex dramatic events, different human characters, and destinies.
