For a decade, an eccentric wealthy man has been adopting six girls as infants from different corners of the world. Each of them was named after a star that belongs to the constellation of the Seven Sisters. The novel begins when one of the sisters, Maya, learns of her father’s sudden death. She travels to the home of her childhood to find out his last will. In the house, the sisters discover a mysterious sphere on which their names and the coordinates of their birthplaces are engraved. Maya becomes the first to decide to learn about her roots. She flies to Rio and, with the support of a local writer, Floriano Quintelas, plunges into the secrets of the past tightly intertwined with the legend of the Seven Sisters and their unique purpose.
