The novel covers a turning point in Russian history: the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. This is a family saga in which the main heroine, Sekleteya Krasitskaya, will have to go through a difficult path and accept changes in family life. A young woman restores family ties, raises a child, tries to find love, and also strengthens her influence in society—while remaining true to herself and her principles.
This is also a “novel of struggle” for a place in business circles: a young woman must defend her brainchild, VitaPharm, and stand up to the powerful—top management of the company Polimed—who are trying by any means, even the most base, to carry out a merger.
The book is a guide not only through different cities and countries, but also through the process of building a business. Readers will learn about the economic processes of that time, go through training in stock trading together with the main heroine, and visit places such as St. Petersburg and Moscow, as well as Barnaul in Russia, Nessebar in Bulgaria, and Zurich and Bern in Switzerland.
